Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in Acute Calculous Cholecystitis: A Secondary Center Experience

Background Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) has increasingly been accepted as the procedure of choice for treatment acute cholecystitis (AC). However, timing this in management AC remains controversial. Hence study was conducted to assess feasibility early laparoscopic cholecystitis. Materials and methods Patients who presented with symptoms such pain tenderness right upper quadrant, systemic signs inflammation, positive ultrasound findings according Tokyo guidelines were included evaluation. Group 1 includes patients within 24 hours onset whereas those between 25 72 belonged 2. All taken up LC after assessment. Intraoperative postoperative complications analysed. Results Out 120 patients, 37 (30.83%) 83 2 (69.17%). There a significant difference groups terms certain demographic, laboratory duration surgery.
